# Send and get paid on a private invoice

A private sale invoice lets you bill a buyer for a sale arranged outside the marketplace. When payment clears, Creatures transfers the purchased animals or inventory, creates a bill of sale, and records the sale in Finance.

## Before you start

You need verified identity, a verified phone number, and a connected Stripe payout account. From the simple **Finance** dashboard, choose **View invoices**; in **Advanced records**, choose **Private sale invoices**. Follow any setup guidance shown.

The invoice list keeps the sale, buyer, status, total, and date together. Select **New invoice** to begin.

## Build and send the invoice

1. Choose **Individual animals**, **A group**, or **Genetic material**, then select what you are selling.
2. Search for an existing buyer or invite one by email or text. A text invite requires confirmation that the person agreed to receive it.

3. Enter the full sale amount. If a reservation is offered, select **Load reservation** to apply its deposit as a credit. The buyer then pays the balance. You can also require an agreement before payment.

4. Choose **Bank transfer**, **Card payment**, or both. At least one must stay on. Bank transfers usually clear in about three business days.

**No bank processing charge** describes the payment method, not the whole sale. The Creatures seller fee applies unless a Pro or eligible introductory-invoice benefit applies. Each selling account gets one seller-fee-free introductory invoice. Card processing is a separate cost, deducted from your proceeds only if the buyer pays by card.

A buyer fee can apply when marketplace activity connected this buyer to the sale within the previous 90 days. Review the buyer's amount due and your proceeds summary before sending. Buyer fees, seller fees, and card processing are shown separately.

5. Select **Save as draft** to finish later, or **Send invoice** to deliver the buyer link. Sent invoices receive a sequential number. Open an invoice to see its current status and available actions.

## What the buyer sees

The buyer link shows the seller, sale items, amount due, status, and what happens after payment. An eligible signed-in buyer with enough Creatures wallet balance can pay from the wallet. Otherwise the page shows the bank or card choice the seller enabled.

Bank payments remain **Processing** until they clear. Do not resend a second invoice during that wait. After payment clears, ownership or the purchased inventory record transfers, a bill of sale is created, and the sale posts to Finance.

For an animal sale, the seller can remain responsible for care until pickup or delivery. The buyer selects **Confirm pickup or delivery** when the animal is home. Payment, care handoff, and the final closed status are separate steps.
