# Sending an agreement for signature

Use **Issue** when you want to send one of your templates to a specific person or group.

## Add the people who need to sign

1. Open **Dashboard > Tools > Agreements**.
2. Select **Issue** beside the template you want.
3. Confirm the template and version shown at the top.
4. Enter each signer's name and email, then choose a role such as customer, provider, buyer, seller, or witness.
5. Select **Add another signer** for each additional person. You can include up to five.

Every signer gets a separate private link and can sign in any order. The agreement is not completed until everyone has signed.

## Add the final details

Link an animal when the document uses animal details or when the completed agreement should appear with that animal's records. If the template contains an amount field, enter the wording you want shown. That value is document text and does not create a charge.

Review the signer emails carefully, then select **Send for Signature**.

## Manage a sent agreement

Open an issued agreement to see each person's status. While signatures are outstanding, you can:

- select **Resend requests** to send new requests to people who have not responded;
- select **Copy signing link** beside one person when you need to share their link another way; or
- select **Void** to close the agreement and stop every unused link.

**Resend requests** creates a fresh link for every signer who has not responded. **Copy signing link** creates a fresh link only for the signer you select. In either case, each earlier link for that signer stops working, so send the newest link.

Treat copied links like private documents and send each link only to its intended signer. If someone declines, the whole agreement is voided. Correct the details and issue a new agreement if everyone still needs to sign.

The completed document cannot be edited. If the terms need to change after completion, update the template if appropriate and send a new agreement.
