# The accountant view and reports

**Accounting Review** gives an owner, bookkeeper, or reviewer a focused workspace for checking records without turning the simple Finance dashboard into an accounting screen. It keeps access, source documents, review notes, reports, and year-end readiness together.

## Open the review workspace

From **Advanced records**, choose **Accounting Review**. Select the record set and date range you need. The overview surfaces animal-linked activity, transactions without paperwork, income and expenses, what the business owns and owes, recent transactions, and close history.

Open a figure or row to inspect the records behind it. A report is only as complete as the entries, animal connections, and paperwork saved for that period.

## Invite the right level of access

Owners can choose **Invite bookkeeper or reviewer**. For an existing Creatures user, find the person, select an **Access level**, then select **Add access**. To invite someone by email, choose **Invite by email**, enter their email and access level, then select **Send invite**. **Invite by text** is also available when texting is enabled.

Choose **Reviewer** to inspect records and add review notes without changing bookkeeping entries. Choose **Bookkeeper** for someone who will also keep records current. Give only the access needed and remove it when the engagement ends.

The invited person receives access to this record set, not every personal or organization record you manage. Finance access is separate from animal ownership. Organization owners and co-owners already have owner-level access to their organization's records; invitations are for everyone else.

## Prepare the year-end handoff

Choose **Year-end package** and select the tax year. The readiness panel points to open bank review, reconciliation, close status, review notes, tax mapping, and other items that may need attention. These checks are workflow guidance, not tax advice.

The export set offers separate files for the transaction register, trial balance, tax summary, depreciation, dispositions, documents, possible 1099 vendors, and adjustments. Focused files are easier to review than one large export. **Export package index** provides the handoff list.

Tax-line suggestions can be reviewed and, with the right access, adjusted for that record set and year. An override changes the summary and export; it does not file anything. Confirm mapping and vendor treatment with a qualified tax professional.

Before handing off, clear obvious duplicates, connect missing paperwork, review uncategorized entries, and confirm the date range. A **Ready** label means the listed workflow checks are clear, not that a tax return has been approved.
