# What agreements are and how signing works

Agreements let you send your own contract, waiver, or other document for an electronic signature. Creatures shows the document to each signer, records the response, and keeps the completed copy.

Open **Dashboard**, choose **Tools**, then **Agreements**. The page has two useful lists:

- **Your agreement templates** holds the reusable documents you write.
- **Issued agreements** shows documents you have sent and whether anyone still needs to sign.

## Before you send one

The sender needs verified identity and a phone number that can receive a one-time code. A payout account is **not** required to write or send an agreement. If either verification is missing, Creatures links you to the step that needs attention. A signer does not need a Creatures account. Each person receives a private link by email and can read and respond from a phone or computer.

## Follow the status

- **Awaiting signatures** means one or more people still need to respond.
- **Partially signed** means at least one person has signed and another has not.
- **Completed** means everyone signed. The document is then locked as the completed copy.
- **Voided** means it is no longer open for signatures. This happens when the sender voids it or a signer declines.
- **Replaced** means a newer agreement took its place.

You can resend pending requests, copy one person's signing link, or void an agreement from its detail page. A completed agreement cannot be voided.

## Know what Creatures provides

You write and own the document text. Creatures does not supply, review, or approve legal wording, and Help Center guidance is not legal advice. Ask an appropriate professional to review wording when needed.

Sending or signing an agreement does not charge anyone. Even an amount inserted into the document is display text; any booking or invoice payment remains a separate step.
