# When does the seller get paid? Your role as the buyer

For an animal purchase without boarding, the seller's proceeds are normally held until handoff is completed. Buying with boarding is different: the animal seller's proceeds are released at checkout, before later pickup.

## Your confirmation can release payment

Open **Dashboard > Buying** and choose the purchase. Select **Confirm handoff** only after the animal is in your care and the agreement has been met. It releases still-held proceeds to the seller's Wallet. A pickup code has the same effect when the seller enters or scans it. Creatures transport instead uses its delivery-confirmation flow.

Confirm promptly when everything is right. The seller has completed their side of the sale and should not have to wait after a successful handoff.

## A seller-documented handoff has a review window

When the seller documents handoff first, the purchase can enter an objection window, usually **72 hours**. Follow the exact deadline on the purchase. Report an issue before that time if handoff is wrong or incomplete. Eligible sales release automatically after the window if no issue is reported; contact support if the displayed state does not match what happened.

## Reporting pauses the release

Use **Report an issue** instead of confirming when there is a material problem and the action is available. The purchase moves under review and payout is paused.

Cancelled transport has a separate pickup timeout, so report an unresolved handoff promptly. Do not assume silence keeps funds held indefinitely.

Once proceeds reach the seller's Wallet, the seller's withdrawal timing is a separate process. It does not change what you paid or the state of your handoff.
