How to Set a Promotion Boost as a Seller

How to set promotional boosts on your listing

As a seller, you can add a promotional boost to your listing to incentivize promoters to find a buyer for your animal. The boost is an extra reward on top of the 1% commission Creatures already pays promoters, and it comes out of your earnings when the animal sells.

You can set the boost as a percentage of the sale price or as a fixed dollar amount.

Add a boost to your listing

On your animal's listing page, click Promote and Earn.

You'll see the default 1% Creatures bonus that every promoter earns for bringing in a buyer.

Notice the option to Boost promoter earnings on your listing at the bottom of the page.

Choose your boost type

Pick whether to boost earnings as a percentage of the sale price or as a fixed dollar amount.

For a percentage-based boost, enter your desired amount. For example, a 5% boost on a $2,500 listing adds $125 to the promoter's reward.

You can switch between percentage and fixed amount at any time. The promoter earnings update automatically when you change the boost.

When to use each boost type

Percentage-based boosts scale with the sale price, so they work well when you're listing animals for auction and want to keep the incentive proportional.

Fixed-amount boosts give you more control over exactly how much you'll pay out. This is useful when you have a specific budget in mind for promotion.

Both options come out of your earnings at the time of sale.
