How to Add Family Members to an Animal Profile

In this article, you'll learn how to add family members to your animal's profile and create new profiles if needed.

1. Open the Family Editor

Click the Edit Family icon to start adding relatives to your animal’s profile.

2. Add Offspring or Other Relatives

You can add offspring even if they belong to another user’s profile.

You don’t need to add every family type, include only what you would like.

3. Review Family Connections

Open the Family tab to view all linked relatives, including parents and offspring.

4. Edit Through the Profile Page

You can also manage family members directly by selecting Edit Profile from the animal’s main profile page.

5. Add the Sire (Father)

If known, search for and add the animal’s sire. This step is optional.

6. Add the Dam (Mother)

Search for the animal’s dam and link her to the profile. This step is also optional.

7. Create Missing Profiles

If a family member doesn’t have a profile yet, click Create Profile to make one instantly.

8. Save and Confirm Changes

Once everything looks right, click Save Changes. Your updates will appear immediately in the animal’s family section.

You’ll now see all linked relatives clearly displayed on the profile.
