How to List Your Animal in a Group Sale Event
A group sale event on Creatures is organized by a breeder, farm, or community and lets multiple sellers list their animals together in one place. The event organizer sets the dates, rules, and event type. Here's how to get your animal listed step by step.
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Go to creatures.com
- Click Sign Up / Create Account
- Fill in your info (name, email, password)
Step 2: Set Up Your Profile
Creatures has two types of profiles, similar to Facebook:
- Your personal profile is like a personal Facebook page. It's required and includes your name and location.
- An organization profile is like a Facebook business page. It represents your farm or breeding program, and you can create as many as you need.
Creating an organization profile is optional but recommended if you have a formal name for your farm or breeding program. To create one:
- From your dashboard, click Add Organization
- Enter your farm or program name
- Add your location
- Add a short description (optional but recommended)
You can list animals under either your personal profile or an organization profile.
Step 3: Complete Verification
Creatures verifies every seller to protect both buyers and sellers. This keeps scammers off the platform and gives buyers confidence that they're dealing with real people. It's a one-time process that takes just a few minutes, and once you're verified, you can list as many animals as you want.
Three quick steps:
- Phone verification: Confirm your phone number via a text message code.
- ID verification: A quick identity check through Stripe, the same secure payment processor used by millions of businesses.
- Bank account connection: Connect your bank account through Stripe so you can get paid when your animal sells.

Step 4: Add Your Animal
- From your dashboard, go to Animals
- Click Add Animal
- Enter your animal's details:
- Name
- Breed
- Color
- Sex
- Date of birth or age
- Description (personality, handling, highlights)
- Upload at least 5 photos. Clear, bright, high-quality photos work best.
- Click Save
Step 5: List Your Animal and Apply to the Event
- Go to your saved animal's profile
- Click List Animal for Sale
- Select Listing Type: Auction
- In the listing creation form, you'll see the option "Apply to an upcoming sale event?". Click it and select the event name from the dropdown.
- Set your Starting Bid (required)
- Set a Buy Now Price (optional)
- Reserve Price: This option may or may not be available, depending on the settings chosen by the event organizer. If available, you can set a minimum price below which you won't sell.
- The auction start and end dates will auto-fill from the event settings.
- Double-check your photos and description.
Step 6: Submit Your Listing
- Click Create Listing
- Your listing will be submitted for the event organizer's approval. Once approved, your animal will appear in the event.
That's it! You're done.
Tips for Better Results
- Use bright, clean photos with no cluttered backgrounds
- Show your animal's personality and temperament
- Mention if the animal is halter broke, kid-friendly, or socialized
- Keep descriptions honest but appealing
- Ask previous customers, colleagues, or veterinarians to write reviews of your organization on Creatures to build confidence with potential buyers
