Claiming your registry or club listing

Creatures lists real registries, associations, and clubs in a public directory. Claiming your organization's listing is the first step to running your tools on Creatures, and it is the one part you can start yourself.

Find your listing

Open the directory at creatures.com/directory/registries, find your registry or club, and open its page. On that page, choose Claim. The claim dialog is titled "Claim Registry Profile" and gives you two ways to prove you represent the organization.

Option 1: verify by email

If your organization has a website on file, you can verify with an email address on that website's domain.

• What it is: you enter a Registry email on your website domain (for example name@yourregistry.org). Creatures emails a 6-digit code to it, and you enter the code to submit the claim.
• Why a domain email: an address on the registry's own domain is strong evidence you actually control the organization, which is why it is the fast path.
• What it means: a verified claim is still not instant. As the dialog says, a verified claim still goes to Creatures staff for approval. Verifying only strengthens your claim; a person on our side still reviews it.

A few practical notes: the email must be on the website domain (an address elsewhere is not accepted), the code can be entered a few times before you need a fresh one, and claims are rate-limited to a handful an hour to keep things tidy.

Option 2: submit a manual claim

If you cannot verify by email, submit a manual claim instead and Creatures staff review it.

• If you already have organizations on Creatures: you can choose Claim as {your organization} to link the claim to an organization you own or belong to.
• If you do not: submit a manual claim, and if it is approved, Creatures creates a registry organization profile for you.

What claiming unlocks, and what it does not

This is the honest part, and the dialog states it plainly: "Approval lets you manage this public registry profile only. Verification authority for records or pedigrees is a separate staff activation."

• What an approved claim unlocks: display-only authority, which turns on the Association Hub (your public member directory, membership roster, and verified-member badges). See The Association Hub: member directory and badges.
• What it does not unlock: reviewing registration applications and issuing registration numbers or certificates. Those registrar tools are a separate step that only Creatures can turn on.
