The Association Hub: member directory and badges

The Association Hub is where a claimed registry, association, or club runs its public member directory and verified-member badges. This article walks every setting on the page.

Opening the Hub

The Hub lives at creatures.com/association/hub, and in your dashboard menu under Registry, choose Association Hub. It opens for owners and co-owners of an organization that Creatures recognizes as a registry or club, at any authority level, including the display-only level a claim grants. If you manage more than one association, an Association switcher at the top right chooses which one you are working on.

The status strip

Across the top, five cards give you the state of your Hub at a glance:

• Directory: reads Draft, Needs page, or Live. Draft means the directory is off; Needs page means it is on but the public page has not been prepared yet; Live means members can see it.
• Verified members: how many members are currently verified, with the total size of your imported roster beneath.
• Badge: Enabled or Off, the master switch for whether members carry a public badge.
• Reports: how many public directory reports are open and waiting for you.
• Pro grants: how many complimentary years of Creatures Pro your association has delivered to members.

Below the strip, a member funnel shows how your imported roster turns into claimed profiles, then activated members, then free Pro years. The roster itself is covered in Importing and managing your membership roster.

Directory Settings, field by field

This form controls the public member directory, your association's roster of verified members. It is a different thing from the Creatures breeder directory, where individual breeders list themselves to be found by buyers; for that, see Getting listed in the breeder directory.

• Publish member directory (checkbox): the master switch. When on, good-standing verified members appear on your partner site; when off, the directory is a draft nobody sees.
• Visibility (Public or Members only): Public lets anyone view the directory. Members only shows it only to signed-in members, and it also disables the token embeds described below. Choose Members only for a private roster, knowing you give up the website embed.
• Directory title: the heading shown on the public directory. Leave it blank and it defaults to your association name followed by "Member Directory".
• Intro: a short note about who is listed and how standing is verified. A "Help me write" assist can draft it for you, and you can edit the result.
• The four buttons:
• • Save changes saves the settings above.
  • Prepare public page creates or refreshes the public directory page on your site, which is what lets the Directory status become Live.
  • Enable badge turns on the verified-member badge so members can appear publicly.
  • Rotate token mints (or replaces) the token used for the website embeds.

What the verified-member badge means

When the badge is enabled, each good-standing verified member carries a badge that is computed live from their standing, not stored as a flag. That means if a member lapses or is removed, the badge disappears on its own, with nothing for you to clean up. The badge appears on the profile the member chose at claim time, which can be their personal profile or a farm organization they own. See Claiming your association membership.

The embed box

Once you Rotate token, the Hub gives you two addresses you can place on your own association website: a live data feed (the .json address) and a badge image (the .svg address). Each address contains a private token, so only people you share it with can use it. The addresses look like creatures.com/association/embed/{token}.json and creatures.com/association/embed/{token}.svg.

The Hub only shows those addresses when the embed would actually work, which needs both "Publish member directory" turned on and visibility set to Public. If either one is missing, the Embed box explains which control to change instead of handing you a link that returns nothing. Rotating a token by itself does not expose the addresses. Your token is kept through any of this, so once both settings are right the same addresses start working again and anything you already placed on your website keeps working.

Reports

When a visitor flags something about a public directory listing, the report lands in the Hub's Reports section. You resolve each one with a short note, so trust and member-record issues stay on top of your queue rather than in your inbox.
