Design a cattle brand with the Brand Designer

The free Cattle Brand Designer lets you build and preview a livestock brand right in your browser. The page is titled Cattle Brand Generator and has three tabs: Designer, Ideas and Registration by state.

Build the mark

In Letters or numbers, enter one to three letters or numbers.
Pick an orientation for each character: Upright, Lazy, Crazy, Reverse or Tumbling.
Add a Traditional symbol or a Composition, such as a bar or a circle, if it helps the design.
Read Brand-speak to hear how the finished brand is said out loud.

The preview updates as you work. Keep the mark easy to read at the size and distance where it will be seen. A warning appears when parts may blot together, for example three characters inside a tight circle.

Preview and download

Your brand shows the clean, editable design. For an AI picture of the brand as a hot iron, select Iron, choose an Iron style, add a Ranch name if you like, then select Generate iron. The iron picture is for inspiration only. Downloads always use the clean design.

Designing is free and needs no account. To download, you need a free Creatures account. Signed out, the buttons read Unlock SVG, Unlock PNG and Unlock print. Select one to sign up, and Creatures keeps your exact design ready.

Signed in, the buttons read SVG (an editable file), PNG (an image) and Print sheet (a concept sheet to print). Put it on your cattle opens the add-animal form for cattle with the brand already in its Brand field.

You can also tap the brand preview itself. Signed out, it opens the same free account step. Signed in, it downloads the SVG.

Your design is also saved in the page link. Save version keeps other takes in this browser. To move a design to another device or person, copy the page link.

Revise with AI

Under Revise the editable brand, type what you want, like "connect them and add a bar". Or tap Simplify, Hang it, Add a symbol, Connect them or Give me 3 takes. Then select Revise.

Revisions change the editable design itself, so you can keep adjusting it by hand. The chip in the corner shows how many uses you have left. Signed-in members get more uses than visitors.

Start from an idea

Open the Ideas tab to compare ready-made starting points. Select Edit this design on any tile, then change its characters, orientation, symbol or composition in the designer.

Check registration before use

Open the Registration by state tab and type your state in Find your state. Each row links to the official recorder and sums up the recording path, scope, fee and renewal, with the date the details were last checked.

Creatures doesn't check whether a mark is taken, and it doesn't record brands for you. Rules can change and can differ by state, county, species or location. Follow the official link, confirm the current rules with that office, and check that your mark is free before you use or file it.
