Your home screen and getting started
Home shows your next step, a Today's care card when care is due, and posts from the Creatures community. One or two quick questions tailor the suggestions, and your answers never limit the species or tools you can use.
Personalize your first steps
When you're new, Home asks What brings you to Creatures? Pick the answer that fits best, such as I breed animals or I'm looking to buy or adopt. There are eleven choices. If Creatures already has a good guess, that choice shows a Suggested tag.
Not ready? Select Skip for now, and the question stays away for about three weeks. To jump in, select the Add your first animal card at the top. It asks for just the basics.
Next, breeders, pet owners, farms and rescues see Which animals do you work with most? Buyers see Which animals are you looking for? Other answers skip this step.
- Tap a common species, or type a species name in the box.
- Pick all that apply, up to 20. This only shapes your suggestions. You can add any species, as many as you like.
- Select Save interests, or Skip for now.
Picked I breed animals, I keep animals as pets or I run a farm or ranch, and just one species? Saving opens the form to add your first one, such as Add your goat, with that species already chosen.
Not in the list? Select Can't find your species? Tell us. See My species or breed isn't listed.
Use Get started
After you answer, Get started suggests a first move that fits you, such as Add your first animal, Import your animals or Follow breeders near you. The words follow your answers, so goat keepers see Add your first goat.
To answer again, select Change your interests (or Personalize your suggestions). Came from an ad about one kind of animal? Home may skip the questions and offer that animal. If that's wrong, select the question below it, such as Not a goat? Tell us what you keep.
If a breed association added you as a member, Home shows Claim your association membership.
Check Today's care
When care is due, a Today's care card shows how many items are ready. Select it to open Today, your daily care list. See Your Today page.
With one to three items ready, Home lists them under the card. Select Done, Ate or Log right there. If a daily routine goes unlogged for a few days, Home asks Still doing it? with Log today, Pause this plan and Not now.
Once you have an animal, a setup card can sit here too, such as Set up care or Set up your places.
Suggestions as you add animals
Right after you add an animal, Home pins its next step, such as Set feeding days for Nova. Then it may offer Add the rest of your goats. Later it suggests missing pieces, like parents, a photo, registration details, a value or a Creature Card (a shareable photo card). If you track farm money here, it may ask what an animal cost or show what's waiting, such as Review 2 money items in Lindgren Heritage Genetics. Select the small x to hide a suggestion for about three weeks.
Browse the community feed
Below your shortcuts, Home shows posts from across Creatures. More load as you scroll, or select Load more posts. At the bottom, Home says You've reached the end. With nothing to show yet, you'll see No posts yet and Write a post. On a phone, you can also post from Create, then New post.
Find work that needs you
Work waiting on you, such as applications, sales, bookings, stud requests and transport, is on your Dashboard under Updates & actions. Select your profile picture at the top, then Dashboard. The bell also lists anything that Needs action. See Notifications and the Action Center.
No new items here means that list is empty. Check Applications, Sales and Purchases below it too.
