Offering a volume discount on multiple animals
A volume rule gives a buyer an automatic discount when they purchase several eligible animals from the same seller in one checkout.

Choose the seller, scope, and calculation
Open Volume discounts from your Dashboard. Create the rule under your personal seller profile or an organization you own or co-own. Choose All animals or one species. When both an all-animal rule and a species rule could apply, the species rule is the more specific match.
Choose one calculation:
- Each additional discounts every eligible animal after the first by a fixed amount or percentage.
- Quantity tiers changes the discount when the buyer reaches defined quantities.
Add an optional Maximum discount and start and end dates. Review the rule at realistic prices, choose whether it should be active, then select Save discount.
Start with a rule you can explain in one sentence, such as “Save 10% on each additional chicken.” Check it under the correct seller before activating it; a personal rule does not become an organization rule automatically.
What buyers see
Eligible cards can show a package-saving flag, and the listing explains the active rule. The cattle example below uses a separate all-animal rule, rather than the Chicken rule shown above.

The buyer must purchase multiple eligible animals from you together. Items from another seller use that seller's rules. The saving appears automatically in the cart summary; no promo code is needed. See the buyer's cart guide.
Protect the seller net
The discount is funded from your proceeds and ordinary seller deductions still apply. A maximum discount limits exposure, and the calculation cannot make seller proceeds negative. Deactivate the rule when the offer no longer fits your inventory or margins.
If a buyer cannot see the saving, confirm that every item is sold by the same seller, matches the rule's species scope, and is being purchased in the same cart. Then check the active dates and required quantity. A promotion or buyer-fee choice is separate and does not replace the volume rule.
