Listing an animal at a fixed price

To sell at a set price, select the arrow button next to Share on the animal's profile and choose Fixed price. On a phone, you can also tap Create, then New listing, and pick the animal under Select Animal. Then add photos, a price, handoff choices and a location.

Check the seller and fee

The note at the top tells you whether a 5% seller fee applies to this sale. If you own or co-own an organization, Sell on behalf of lets you pick who appears as the seller and gets paid. The fee note changes to match that seller.

If a sale event accepts this animal, Apply to an upcoming sale event? lets you enter it. See Applying your listing to an event.

Add photos and a description

Under Images and Videos, add at least 3 photos. The first photo is the main picture. Drag photos to change the order. Photos under 600 pixels on the short side are skipped.
Under Description, write at least 25 words. Cover temperament, health, papers, and what's included.
For a reptile, a Listing readiness box lets you tell buyers whether the animal is ready for a new home. It's optional: select Record readiness to fill it in.

Set the price

Enter a Price from $1 to $800,000. Any buyer fee and delivery charge are added at checkout. For many animals, a Crestimate panel sits above the price. A Crestimate is Creatures' estimate of the animal's value. See What is a Crestimate?

To screen buyers first, turn on Require buyer approval and pick a Buyer Application Form. See Requiring buyer applications and building a form.

Show comments lets buyers ask questions on the listing. Sale Incentives let you cover the buyer's fee or reward people who share it. See Covering buyer fees and adding promoter rewards.

Choose how the animal changes hands

Under Fulfillment, tick every option you can really support:

Buyer pickup: the buyer collects the animal from you (on by default).
Buyer-arranged or informal shipping: the buyer arranges the trip, or you agree on another way.
Creatures transport: an approved transporter moves the animal on a tracked trip.

To drive the animal to the buyer yourself, turn on Offer optional delivery with this listing. Enter a Rate ($/mi), an optional Minimum Charge, and a Maximum Distance (miles). Buyers farther away won't see delivery.

Add the location

Under Location, enter the Address where the animal is. If you type a new address, you can turn on Save this location to reuse it. Buyers see only the town until they buy.

Choose how to finish

Under What should happen when you finish?, pick one:

Save as draft: only you can see it.
Create private link: only people with the link can see it.
Publish publicly: it goes in the marketplace.

Tick I agree to the Creatures Terms, unless you're saving a draft. The button changes to match your choice: Save as draft, Create private link or Publish listing. A draft still needs every required field.

If a choice is grayed out, you still need to verify your phone or ID. See What you need to start selling.

What happens next

A draft opens with a Draft preview box that only you see. When you're ready, tick the Terms box and select Make private link or Publish publicly.

A private link shows Copy private link for sending to buyers. A public listing shows up in the marketplace right away.

Buyers can also send you an offer below your price. See Reviewing offers on your listing. To change the listing later, see Editing or ending your listing.
