Reviewing and approving buyer applications

Open Dashboard, then Selling > Applications, choose Purchases, and select Review application on the buyer's card. Approving lets that buyer buy, bid on or make an offer on that one listing. It doesn't hold the animal or take any money.

Find the application

When a buyer applies, you get a notification that says they applied to your listing. Selecting it opens their application.

You can also find it in Applications:

1. Select Purchases to show only applications to buy your listed animals.
2. Select Needs action to see the ones waiting for you.
3. Find the card that says who wants to buy which animal, then select Review application.

The same page also holds boarding, group, program and event applications. The type buttons above the list (Boarding, Groups, Programs and Events) show each kind on its own.

If the buyer's account is brand new, their application can take up to an hour to show up.

Read the application

The Review Buyer Application page names the buyer and the animal at the top. A badge shows where it stands: Pending review, Approved on and the date, or Rejected.

Below that you'll find:

• Listing: the animal and price. Select it to open your listing.
• Applicant: the buyer. Select their name to see their profile.
• Application: the buyer's message and their answers to your questions.

If an answer is unclear, select Message the buyer before you decide. If you've talked before, the button reads View conversation.

Approve or reject

Select Approve or Reject. Creatures asks you to confirm first, and lets the buyer know your decision. Select Keep reviewing if you're not ready.

You can change your mind later:

• On an approved application, Revoke approval stops that buyer from buying, bidding or making an offer.
• On a rejected application, Approve instead lets them go ahead.

If the listing has sold, ended or been cancelled, the page says "This listing is no longer active." and the decision buttons are gone.

What approval covers

Approval is for this listing only. If you have another listing that needs approval, the buyer applies there too. Rejecting a buyer here doesn't change their status on your other listings.

Approval isn't a hold. The animal stays for sale, and if you approve more than one buyer, the first to check out gets it. Approve a buyer when you're happy for them to buy, not to save them a place.

What the buyer sees

Once approved, the buyer sees the usual buttons on your listing, such as Buy Now, Make an offer, or bidding on an auction. A rejected buyer sees "The seller didn't approve your application for this listing" and can't buy from it.
