What you need to start selling

You can start a listing right away. A draft needs nothing extra, a private link needs a verified phone, and a public listing needs a verified phone and ID. You only need a payout account when you want to withdraw your money.

Where to start

On the animal's profile, select the arrow button next to Share. Choose Fixed price to sell at a set price, or Auction to sell to the highest bidder.

If an animal's finance Intended use is Market / resale, its profile also shows a List [name] button.

Offering a male for breeding instead of selling him? The same menu has Offer stud services. A stud offer with a fee works differently from a listing: it needs a verified phone, a verified ID and payouts set up before it goes live.

On a phone, you can also tap Create at the bottom of the screen, then New listing. Pick the animal under Select Animal.

If you have no animals yet, the form says Choose an animal to continue. Select Add animal and continue to add one first.

Joined as a breeder or farm, but have no farm profile yet? Then Fixed price says "Create your farm profile, then sell at a set price" (Auction says the same, for selling to the highest bidder). Creatures helps you set one up, then opens the listing.

Which animals you can list

The profile must be public. A private animal has no selling choices in its menu. Choose Make public in that menu first.
One listing at a time. An animal that already has a listing, even a draft, can't get a second one.
No open sponsorship. If you opened a sponsorship for the animal, you can't list it at the same time.
Not a consignment. An animal you're selling for someone else can't be listed. Use Record sale on its profile when it sells. See Sold your animal? How to update Creatures.

What each choice needs

At the end of the listing form, under What should happen when you finish?, you choose one of three options:

Save as draft: nothing to verify. Only you can see it.
Create private link: a verified phone number that can get a text code. Only people with the link can see it.
Publish publicly: a verified phone and a verified ID (about 2 minutes). Buyers also can't pay you until your ID is verified, even on a private link.

If a step isn't done yet, its choice is grayed out and shows Verify phone or Verify identity. See Verifying your phone number and Verifying your identity.

Selling for a farm or business

If you own or co-own an organization, the form shows Sell on behalf of. Pick who appears as the seller. The money goes to that seller's Wallet, and the 5% seller fee depends on whether Creatures Pro covers that seller. See Seller fees and the Creatures Pro subscription.

Before you publish

Add at least 3 photos and a description of at least 25 words.
Enter the Address where the animal is. Buyers see only the town until they buy, then the pickup address.
Choose only the handoff options you can offer.

If you signed in from a link in an email or text, Creatures may show Confirm it's you when you save. Select Email me a code and enter it. Back on the form, check your details and save again. See Keeping your account secure.

Getting paid

Your Wallet collects sale money even before you set up payouts. To move it to your bank, select Set up payouts in your Wallet. See Connecting your payout account and How seller payout works.
