Sharing pregnancy updates with reserved buyers

Reserved-buyer updates keep buyers informed without opening your private records or sharing every pregnancy note.

Share one update

1. Open the active cycle and choose Add progress photo.
2. Add the observation date, a short description, and helpful photos.
3. Turn on Share with reserved buyers.
4. Choose Save Record. Saving a newly shared update notifies eligible reserved buyers.

The choice is available for pre-birth progress connected to a breeding cycle. It applies only to that update. It does not change other records' visibility or share unselected progress. If there is no eligible reservation on the connected expected group, there is nobody to receive the update.

Write for the buyer who will read it. A useful update says what changed and when, without making promises about the exact birth date or the final match. Avoid sharing private veterinary details that the buyer does not need.

What the buyer sees

An eligible buyer opens Dashboard and Reserved offspring. Under Pregnancies you're following, they see the expected window, breeder, expected group, and only the updates you chose to share.

This sharing choice does not grant access to the dam's other private records, your care plan, or unshared progress. When the birth or hatch is recorded, the followed pregnancy can show that the offspring arrived.

The reservation must be Reservation held (shown as Deposit held under Purchases) or Matched to the connected offspring group, with a collected deposit that has not been fully refunded. A partial refund can leave access in place while those conditions still hold. An application, an accepted application, or an unpaid interest request is not enough.

If a buyer says an update is missing, check that it is attached to the right cycle and that Share with reserved buyers is on. Then check the reservation: it must belong to the connected offspring group, still show Reservation held or Matched, and have a collected deposit with some amount remaining after any completed refund. A pending refund temporarily pauses access.

Each update needs its own sharing choice. A full refund or a reservation leaving those qualifying states ends access through this view.
